Moving Services – Terms & Conditions

We are a small, locally owned business and always aim to provide careful, professional service. These terms help ensure clarity and fairness for both parties.

1. General
By booking our services, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all moving services provided.

2. Client Responsibilities
• The client must ensure clear and safe access to the property.
• The client must advise us of any fragile items, tight access points, or surfaces that may be easily damaged (including flooring, stairs, walls, and door frames).
• The client is responsible for removing or protecting items such as loose rugs, floor mats, or obstacles prior to the move.

3. Care of Goods & Property
We take reasonable care when handling items and property. However, moving heavy or bulky items carries an inherent risk, particularly in tight or restricted spaces.

4. Damage to Property
• We are not responsible for damage to floors, walls, ceilings, driveways, paths, or other property unless caused by proven negligence.
• We are not responsible for damage resulting from:
• Tight access or restricted spaces
• Pre-existing damage or wear and tear
• Items too large or heavy for the access available
• Client instructions to move items in difficult conditions

5. Insurance
We do not hold insurance covering damage to property. Clients are encouraged to have their own contents or property insurance in place.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

7. Payment
Payment is due as agreed prior to or on completion of the move. Unpaid invoices may incur additional fees.

8. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations or changes must be advised as soon as possible. Late cancellations may incur a fee.

9. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking, the client acknowledges they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
